KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A monkey, apparently a pet, escaped, then chased a 12-year-old boy into his house and bit him on the buttocks in the western Malaysian state of Pahang, a news report said Friday.

The monkey, which was believed to be a pet animal because there was a chain around its neck, ran up and down the street in the housing area in Kuantan town as it appeared just after dusk Wednesday, scaring people into their homes, the Bernama news agency reported.

A few months back I discovered Sony's MDR-EX51LP headphones at Best Buy- I'd been searching for new headphones, preferably the type that can hang around your neck, so I picked them up.

I'm not a big fan of closed-type headphones since others I've picked up involve an insertion procedure that can last up to twenty minutes. If someone attempts to start a conversation you have to make the choice of waving them off or popping the headphones out and facing another twenty minute insertion procedure.

So these, instead of the foam earbud that you're supposed to jam into your ear, have got a simple little umbrella-shapped rubber pads that are simply the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned. I couldn't have been happier... for a week.

After a week the insulation on the wires started to turn to jelly exposing the bare wires inside. Silly me, I thought, "Must have melted in my car or something..." and I ordered another pair.

The insulation lasted two weeks on the new pair. I put in a warranty request and I'm in the middle of sending them back, but in the meantime I thought I'd give the upgraded Sony MDR-EX71s a try- they had that magic word on Sony's web site- "NEW!" so I figured they've probably figured out that their headphones disintegrate within a month.

I've had 'em a week and the "NEW!" headphones just disintegrated.

Sending 'em back... I feel like a chump.

I'll attempt to rectify that by posting some Family Guy clips.
